In this first meeting, all the partner organisations were introduced for the first time and created a common ground for the project. The partner organisations are: Status- M, a Croatian organisation whose main objective is to tackle gender-based violence, working mainly with youngsters; CES, as a centre of studies linked to Coimbra University; Zijn, as a Belgian NGO specialised in prevention of gender-based violence and sexual violence; Dissens, which mainly works on intersectional violence; and Fundación Cepaim, as the coordinating partner for the Project.
Moreover, they had a meeting with the Representative of the Government Office for Gender Violence, María José Ordónez Carbajal, in order to present the project and the possible implementations in the near future. The team also visited the Equality Center “María de Maeztu” and got to know the activities and they are carrying out in order to support and empower women and achieve gender equality.
After this meeting, the project implementation starts in the five countries with the focus group phase.
