The main objective of this meeting was to welcome and train the new trainers who are responsible for the sessions with teenagers.
Status M was in charge of leading the work sessions about the trainings that will be implemented during the project. The organisation explained the content of the manuals adapted from the ones produced by Promundo, which is the reference organisation and promoter of the gender-synchronized approach.
Another issue that was raised in the meeting was the methodology and how to adapt it to the implementation of this project. Based on their experience, Status-M gave some guidelines to the partners.
On the other hand, the diverse cultural contexts of the partner countries and the need to adapt the different thematic axes during the trainings to the different countries was also highlighted. During the discussion, there was a debate about different ways to approach sexuality, gender diversity, emotional and sexual diversity, sexual violence, harassment and other important issues that must be discussed during the trainings.
This meeting served to strengthen the work of this network, bring together various points of view and strategies for the development of the trainings, as well as achieve a consensual space for the peculiarities of the different context, without forgetting the objective of promoting the engagement against gender-based violence and for equal relationships amongst youngsters.
